Transforming Outdoor Spaces, Inspired by Nature

We design unique, modern Australian native gardens that reconnect you back with nature.

At Althaus Landscape Designs, we believe outdoor spaces should reconnect people with nature. Our approach is inspired by the Australian landscape, creating considered native gardens shaped through collaboration, ecology, and a thoughtful response to the land.

How to work with us

At Althaus Landscape Designs, we believe that every garden should tell a story. Our philosophy centers on collaboration, ensuring that your unique vision is brought to life in a harmonious and sustainable way.

Discovery

In the Discovery phase, Althaus Landscape Designs begins by engaging closely with you to understand their vision, preferences, and specific needs. Through on-site consultations, Daniel Althaus, the award-winning landscape designer, assesses the unique characteristics of the space, including soil type, climate, and existing vegetation. This phase is crucial for gathering detailed information, establishing the scope of the project, and aligning expectations.

Design

Building on the insights from the Discovery phase, the Design phase involves the creation of a bespoke landscape plan that reflects the client’s personality and lifestyle while harmonising with the natural environment. Daniel draws on his extensive experience and passion for native plants to craft a design that seamlessly blends with the surroundings. Detailed plans and visualisations are provided to ensure the client’s vision is accurately captured before moving forward.

Daniel’s attention to detail ensures that the garden not only meets, but exceeds expectations with every element carefully integrated to create a cohesive and sustainable landscape. Regular communication with the client ensures that the project remains on track and any adjustments are made seamlessly.
