REservoir
Location: Reservoir, Victoria
This project called for a considered response to a rear renovation, with the challenge of fitting a second dwelling, basketball hoop, trampoline and fire pit area into a compact footprint. Combining architectural and landscape design skill sets was essential — using sound design principles to layer these elements without the space ever feeling crowded.
Creative spatial solutions were key. An in-ground trampoline set within a garden bed saves precious space, while the basketball hoop is nestled among hedging plants, giving it the illusion of always having belonged there. Every element earns its place, working together rather than competing for room.
The result is a newly renovated home that feels genuinely connected to its outdoor space — spacious and considered, despite its limited footprint.
